Greetings
from Beirut…We’re here! Praise God
We serve an awesome God…each team member can testify
of the trials and attacks experienced prior to our departure from Atlanta, GA.
There were flight and personal delays for two team members coming in from other
locations, which were complicated by the change in domestic and international
terminals in our city. Loss of vital
hours in sleep prior to departure added to the situation. Most would assume
doubt would set in and individual team members would fret and decide not to
continue on, but that was not the case. In the end one car was parked at the
airport. Our team leader sent all of us
through security and waited for the final team member. She arrived with 12 minutes left to check in
her suitcase. Going through security
turned out to be a breeze. God is never
late and he is still in the business of opening a path exactly when you need
it! We were sound and ready for the
journey ahead to Beirut! We were all called for this journey and we all said
‘send me,’ but then no one would have ever imagined the cost
of ‘hearing the voice of the Lord saying,“Whom shall I send? And who will go
for us? ”and saying, “Here am I. Send me!”-Isaiah 6:8
We consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever we face trials of many kinds, because we know that the testing of our faith produces perseverance. We let perseverance finish its work so that we may be mature and complete, not lacking anything-James 1:2-4
God has an amazing plan ahead for us and this mission, and most importantly the children. The effectual and fervent prayer of the righteous has surely prevailed, and we continue to win, even in the midst of such intense warfare prior to our departure because the first half of the team is here, safe and sound, Praise the Lord! Many thanks go out to all of our supporters from all over the globe that are praying for us right at this very moment. Also, to those that were praying throughout the entire planning process and continue to pray throughout the remainder of this journey! We are truly blessed to have you all ‘on our team’
Blessed is the one who perseveres
under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown
of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him, (James1:12) and
those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings
like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint
(Isaiah 40:31). We are definitely soaring...
